Frozen Shoulder Treatment in Turkey

Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) is a condition that causes pain and significant restriction in shoulder movement. Symptoms typically begin mildly but can gradually worsen if it is left untreated. Although the exact cause is unknown, a few conditions may cause its occurence.

Potential risk factors could be:

  • Rotator cuff injuries
  • Shoulder immobilization after fractures
  • Partial paralysis
  • Diabetes
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Thyroid disorders

Diagnosis begins with a physical examination to evaluate your range of motion and pain levels. Imaging techniques such as X-rays, MRI or ultrasound may be used to confirm the diagnosis and eliminate other conditions.

While frozen shoulder can sometimes resolve on its own up to three years, this process is slow and can reduce quality of life. That’s why most patients prefer early intervention.

Treatment Options:

  • Physical therapy
  • Shoulder mobility exercises
  • Pain relief medications
  • Injections
  • Surgical intervention

Considering Treatment in Turkey? We're Here to Help.

Non-surgical methods are always recommended in the first place. However, if conservative treatments fail to treat the symptoms, surgical intervention may be recommended. Shoulder arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure performed through small incisions. It targets only the affected tissue, leaving healthy areas untouched. This results in reduced pain and faster recovery.

At Turan Turan Health Center, our team offers comprehensive care for frozen shoulder, including advanced arthroscopic techniques to help restore shoulder mobility and relieve pain.
