Foot and Ankle Pain
Foot and Ankle Pain
The feet are joints that act like shock absorbers, transferring and carrying the body’s load by direct contact with the ground. In order to be able to transfer body weight to the ground in a balanced way during walking and running, the relationship of the bones, muscles, joints and ligaments that make up the foot structure must be at right angles. However, most people have congenital or acquired foot deformities. Structural and functional disorders of the foot can eventually cause pain in the knee, leg and even the lower back.
