Foot and Ankle Pain
Foot and Ankle Pain
Feet are the joints that directly bear the body’s weight and act as shock absorbers by transferring this weight to the ground. During walking or running, the bones, muscles, joints, and ligaments that make up the foot must work together at proper angles to distribute body weight evenly. However, many people have congenital or acquired foot deformities. Structural and functional problems in the foot can gradually cause pain in the knee, leg, and even the lower back.
Common Foot and Ankle Issues:
- Bunions (Hallux Valgus)
- Flat feet
- Heel spurs
- Ligament injuries
- Tendon disorders
- Ankle cartilage problems
- Warts
- Diabetic foot
